Large coin silver spoon - unmarked - probably from the Kentucky or West Virginia area. 9.125" long, 63g. This was purchased as part of collection from the estate of an active southern collector and there was a tag on it that said: "Likely Kentucky or WV - Charles Stuart?" A screenshot of a similar looking spoon from Kentucky sold on ebay is included and it looks very close in shape and style. It feels a little stiffer than regular coin silver so unknown silver content -- and could be below .900, or above .900 purity. I don't collect southern and know very little about it except that it closely resembles other spoons found in the KY/WV area... I have many other northern & southern spoons which I may be listing in the future.
